“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things
of old” (Isaiah 43:18).
Every time when we go through trials and tribulations, we
tend to look at the past, lose heart and grumble saying, “Alas! How wonderful
was the past! Today, it is too bad and I struggle to survive.” Instead of this,
if they forget those things which are behind and reach forward to those things
which are ahead, they will receive new joy, patience and divine blessings
(Philippians 3:13).
We should forget the past and press toward the goal for the
prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).
You too may be living with no peace in your heart. Don’t
worry! Surrender your life to God! Forget the past and look at the future. God,
in His mercy, will lead you in the right path and bless you abundantly (Romans
12:2).
